Antijito’s

Every time I make this appetizer for an event (it is my go-to), EVERYONE asks for the recipe so I have decided this is the first one for me to share! Honestly, they are so incredibly easy to make and this dish will please all of your guests…unless they aren’t the spicy kind like me. πŸ™‚ Best part about this is that you can customize it to what you like, so I encourage you to play around with the recipe. Also, leave a few for yourself…you won’t regret it!

A great, easy appetizer that can be made in advance for any event. Or, if you love them as much as I do, you make them for yourself anytime!

Ingredients

  • 1 package - Soft Tortillas
  • 1/2 Red Pepper
  • 2- 3 Forkfuls of jarred Jalapeno's OR 1/2 fresh jalapeno
  • 1-2 tbsp - Frank's Red Hot Sauce
  • 1 - Block of Cream Cheese
  • Sour Cream

Instructions

1

Preheat oven to 350 Degrees. In a medium bowl, cream the cream cheese until nice and smooth. Finely dice red pepper and jalapenos and then add to the cream cheese. Add hot sauce to taste and then spread mixture lightly on tortilla. Roll the tortilla up, cut in bite size pieces and repeat process until all tortilla's are used. Place cut tortilla's on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes. Serve immediately with sour cream.

Notes

I use a food processor to chop up the red pepper, jalapeno and hot sauce for convenience. When handling jalapeno, do not touch your face, especially your eyes because it will hurt...not that it happened to me. πŸ™‚
