My Zen Time

Recently, a friend of mine had mentioned that he would have never predicted that I would be the person to get down and dirty in the garden. Now, I could have been offended but I was not because he is RIGHT! I never thought I would be this person either!!!! About 6 years ago, we bought an older home but it had a HUGE yard that needed some love. Over time, I gradually found myself outside more and more investing time and energy pulling weeds, planting flowers and eventually growing a vegetable garden. I cannot tell you how much I love it out there now as we plant seeds late spring and by the end of the summer, we have a bountiful harvest. I don’t know if there is anything more rewarding…well maybe being a parent but it really depends on the day! My favourite time out here is in the evening when I pour a glass of vino and tend to our little urban garden. I will be sure to post more about gardening because I have learned so much and have so much more to learn!
